Warriors’ owner Joe Lacob ‘ticked off’ about McCaw contract situation

Lacob bought to the pick to draft McCaw back in the 2016 NBA Draft for $2.4 million. The Golden State Warriors had high expectations for the former UNLV standout; however, the third-year guard had other plans.

After not opting into his contract and not accepting the Dubs proposed offer, McCaw decided to play the waiting game. He needed a team to offer him two things: money and time. Two years, $6 million, the offer sheet proposed to McCaw by Cleveland might do the trick.

The Warriors seemingly aren’t going to match the offer. Lacob, who then bought McCaw for little return was not pleased with the 23-year-old guard’s decision.
