The Golden State Warriors appear to be getting ready to say goodbye to franchise icon Klay Thompson. Reports emerged earlier in the weekend that the Splash Brother and the Dubs front office are proceeding as if he has played his last game in a Warriors uniform. Rather than continuing to push to re-sign the sharpshooter, Golden State’s front office has shifted to angling for a sign-and-trade, according to a report by Anthony Slater and Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Dallas Mavericks are expected to be the strongest suitors for Thompson.
