Things done today are not exactly done in the same way that they were done decades ago, or even years ago. With the rise of social media, texting, and other forms of communication that allow people to avoid face-to-face conversations, it’s quite amazing that the Golden State Warriors decided to go for 73 wins without actually, well, talking to each other.
And when I say “talking”, I mean in the traditional sense. There wasn’t a big powwow in the locker room to express the desire to go after the record. Nope, none of that. In fact, the powwow happened via group text message that was initiated by All-Star forward Draymond Green.
