Klay Thompson and James Harden grew up in Los Angeles area and know about the Drew League. It has been a staple for Pro-Am ballers in Los Angeles for 40 years. It didn’t explode in popularity until the NBA lockout of 2011 happened and the NBA players began to roll in. With the advancement of technology, word spread like wild fire and the gyms were packed to see good, free, live basketball.
