Warriors’ NBA All-Star streak snapped

The NBA All-Star Game is going to have plenty of new faces. And for the first time in eight years, no Warriors.

The absence of any Warriors wasn’t a surprise. The five-time defending Western Conference champions are beat up and closing in on a draft lottery pick instead of a playoff berth. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were in the game each of the previous five seasons, but both have been hurt. Kevin Durant also was an All-Star for Golden State a year ago; he’s a Brooklyn Net now — and also injured.

But it does end a pretty impressive run for a franchise that from 1997-2013 didn’t produce one All-Star nod.
