If past is prologue, Klay Thompson should have a pretty good game Wednesday night against the Clippers.
On Monday, Thompson became only the third Golden State Warrior to score at least 55 points in a game, joining Rick Barry (who did it three times) and Purvis Short (twice).
In the next games after their respective outbursts, Barry and Short combined to average 26.4 points — a number held down by Barry’s 16 points in the 1974 season finale, which followed his Warriors’ West Coast-record 64 a night earlier.
Short scored 30 points following both of his big games: 57 on Jan.
