Patrick McCaw had become the invisible man in this Warriors postseason stampede.
He played only nine mop-up minutes in the sweep of Utah. He didn’t play at all in Sunday’s comeback victory over San Antonio in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals, relegated to end-of-the-bench spectator.
Then, with 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala sidelined by a sore knee in Game 2, here came McCaw — suddenly plopped into the heart of the rotation and clearly ready for the assignment.
McCaw collected 18 points, five assists and three steals in 27 minutes Tuesday night.
