PORTLAND, Ore. — In his third season with the Warriors, James Michael McAdoo needs merely a glance at the upcoming matchup to determine whether he will play meaningful minutes.
The only way he cracks the rotation is if the game plan calls for another big man capable of guarding multiple positions. The likelihood of him getting an extended run doesn’t affect McAdoo’s approach. Early-morning treadmill sessions and post-practice games of 3-on-3 remain his staples.
“Regardless of whether I’m going to play or not going to play, I always prepare the same way,” McAdoo said. “When I get the opportunity, it’s just about going out there and making the most of it.
