With Klay Thompson on his way to Dallas to join the Mavericks, the Golden State Warriors have found their sharpshooting replacement.
Golden State has agreed to a deal to acquire Buddy Hield from the Philadelphia 76ers in a sign-and-trade move. The Athletic’s Shams Charania was first to report the move. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Hield will sign a contract that guarantees him $21 million, with $18 million guaranteed in the first two seasons and a third year that has a partial guarantee of $3 million. The contract also has a fourth year that is non-guaranteed and gives Hield a player option.
