Warriors lose Leandro Barbosa, Brandon Rush; others wait in wings

Brandon Rush, one of the Warriors’ eight free agents, has agreed to terms with the Minnesota Timberwolves on a one-year deal worth $3.5 million.

The swingman averaged 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 2015-16 and had an especially good run while starting small forward Harrison Barnes was recovering from a sprained ankle. Rush started 25 games, averaging seven points per game and shooting 49.4 percent from three-point range during the stretch.

Barnes has already agreed to a four-year, $94 million deal with Dallas, leaving guards Leandro Barbosa and Ian Clark, forward James Michael McAdoo and centers Festus Ezeli, Marreese Speights and Anderson Varejao on the free-agent market.
