Poor Russell Westbrook. The one time he ran up against the Warriors in the playoffs, in 2016, he and his Oklahoma City Thunder mates blew a 3-1 series lead. After which Kevin Durant bolted OKC for GSW without so much as a rousing chorus of “So long, it’s been good to know ye.”
Last offseason, Westbrook was traded from the Thunder to the Houston Rockets, to spend in perpetuity attempting to pry the ball from James Harden.

If that’s not a spirit-crusher, Westbrook’s new team has had its own postseason frustrations when facing the Warriors.
