Warriors leaders sound surprisingly chill with playing for the future

It’s no secret that the Golden State Warriors need to do something to save their floundering season, but the team’s biggest names are putting a hard cap on what that something should be.

Following the Dubs’ 104-101 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Monday, veteran stars Steph Curry and Draymond Green, along with head coach Steve Kerr, relayed a similar message: The Warriors shouldn’t get “desperate” with any trades this season.

Kerr kicked off the messaging before Monday’s defeat, speaking with the Athletic during a shootaround in Toronto. He did not use the D-word, but the sentiment of being cautious this trade season was firmly there.
