Warriors’ Ky Bowman out indefinitely with ankle sprain, per MRI

PHOENIX — Warriors guard Ky Bowman will miss the next several games with a sprained right ankle, the team announced Saturday.

Bowman, who suffered the injury in the final minutes of the fourth quarter of Thursday’s loss to the Lakers, underwent an MRI in the Bay Area on Friday that revealed a lateral ankle sprain.

“It could have been worse,” head coach Steve Kerr said.

The Warriors will monitor Bowman over the next week and provide another update, but the 22-year-old is expected to miss upcoming games against Washington and in Denver.

An undrafted rookie out of Boston College, Bowman averaged 7.
