Warriors’ Kevin Durant accuses referee of targeting him

After getting ejected late in the Warriors’ 123-112 win Tuesday night over the Knicks, Kevin Durant said he had been targeted by referee James Williams, and “that’s what’s been going on around the league this year.”

At one point in the first half, Durant crossed over his defender along the right wing and was called for carrying. Durant and Williams went back and forth about the call. Late in the third quarter, after getting called for a foul on a block attempt, Durant bounced the ball angrily and was immediately assessed a technical.

Williams “went into halftime, probably with an attitude,” Durant said.
