The Warriors are saying head coach Steve Kerr will use the team’s 17-day, five-game home stand as a chance to test the progress of his rehabilitation from two offseason back surgeries.
Kerr has been on a leave of absence since Oct. 1 as he recovers from the surgeries, the first of which caused a spinal fluid leak. But the players believe they’ve seen huge improvements in their coach since they returned from the two-week, seven-game road trip.
“He has a lot more energy, coming off that trip,” backup point guard Shaun Livingston said.
