The NBA trade deadline came and went on Thursday with the Golden State Warriors keeping Kelly Oubre while reportedly dealing away guard Brad Wanamaker and big man Marquese Chriss.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Wanamaker was being dealt to the Charlotte Hornets, and The Athletic's Marcus Thompson followed up that the trade was in exchange for cash. Wanamaker lost his spot in the rotation to rookie Nico Mannion in recent weeks after struggling to provide offense for a Warriors team in need of playmaking beyond Stephen Curry.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski then reported that the Warriors were sending Chriss — who played in only two games this season before suffering a broken leg — to the San Antonio Spurs.
