Warriors’ JaVale McGee inactive vs. Raptors

In a somewhat surprising move, the Warriors made center JaVale McGee inactive for Wednesday night’s home game against Toronto.

McGee joined Damian Jones, Chris Boucher and Quinn Cook on the inactive list instead of several players — Kevon Looney, Jordan Bell and Omri Casspi — considered behind McGee on the depth chart.

Odds are that head coach Steve Kerr made the move for lineup reasons. With centers Jonas Valanciunas (left ankle sprain) and Lucas Nogueira (left ankle sprain) out, the Raptors are going with a small-ball lineup.
