SAN FRANCISCO — On Monday, Golden State’s center depth looked thin. By Wednesday, it was bordering on non-existent.
The Warriors received a set of blows during practice as coach Steve Kerr announced Kevon Looney tweaked his hamstring and Alen Smailagiu0107 rolled his ankle. Practice was cut short because of the injuries.
“It is what it is,” Kerr said.
With Looney and Smailagiu0107 suffering setbacks, Golden State’s center rotation looks even bleaker.
Willie Cauley-Stein, who was slated to be the team’s starting center after signing this offseason, suffered a left mid-foot injury and will miss training camp.
