The Warriors are in discussions with the Kings to schedule a preseason game next season in Seattle, The Chronicle has confirmed with a team source.
The Sacramento Bee was the first to report the teams’ intention to play in Seattle on Oct. 6.
Per the team source, the game has yet to be finalized. If it comes to fruition, the exhibition would be the first NBA matchup in Seattle’s Key Arena since the Seattle SuperSonics left for Oklahoma City after the 2007-08 season, becoming the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The game would be a bit of a reunion for Golden State forward Kevin Durant, who played his rookie season with the Sonics before the team moved to Oklahoma City.
