BOSTON — After Ian Clark scored 12 points on 4-for-5 three-point shooting in six minutes of the Warriors’ victory at Utah on Nov. 30, interim head coach Luke Walton joked that he probably should have played the guard in the second half.
“But, the coach doesn’t really know what he’s doing,” Walton said.
He learned from his “mistake” and played Clark in the second half of the Warriors’ victory over the Celtics on Friday, the first start of the third-year guard’s career.
Clark’s night didn’t start so well. His first two shots were blocked, and he went into the halftime locker room scoreless on three field-goal attempts.
