The unthinkable finally happened.
The Warriors were destined to lose at least one game during their postseason run, but they weren’t supposed to lose like this, and they certainly weren’t supposed to lose at this place.
Memphis muddied up the game, playing its customary gritty defense and exchanged chasing offensive rebounds for retreating and stopping the Warriors’ electric transition game in a 97-90 series-tying victory at Oracle Arena.
The Warriors had lost only two home games all season. They hadn’t lost at home since an overtime game against Chicago on Jan. 27 (21 straight games) and hadn’t lost at home to a Western Conference opponent since dropping one to San Antonio on Nov.
