The Golden State Warriors announced on Wednesday that they hired Seattle radio personality and public address announcer Matt Pitman to call games for Warriors at Chase Center.
Prior to joining the Warriors, Pitman worked as the announcer at Seattle's KeyArena. There, he was the PA announcer for the Seattle SuperSonics from 2004 until they moved to Oklahoma City and the Seattle Storm since 2006. He's worked the WNBA Finals in 2010 and 2018, and the WNBA All-Star game in 2017.
"As we prepare to open Chase Center, we're thrilled to have Matt on-board as the voice of this world-class venue," Rick Welts, the Warriors president and chief operating officer, said in a press release about the hiring.
