Warriors' Harrison Barnes will have MRI on knee

SAN FRANCISCO -- Warriors forward Harrison Barnes was scheduled to have an MRI exam on his sprained right knee Wednesday, according to general manager Bob Myers, who doesn't believe a serious injury was suffered.

"Hopefully it's fine," Myers said after the Warriors were presented the key to San Francisco at City Hall. "He didn't seem too worried, but hopefully it's good news. We should know something later today."Barnes was injured in the second quarter of Tuesday's preseason loss to the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena and did not return to the game.Barnes is in the middle of a contract extension negotiation period with the Warriors, and Myers doesn't expect the injury to be a factor in talks based on what he knows at this point.
