Wednesday night’s blockbuster trade that saw the Golden State Warriors trade Andrew Wiggins to the Miami Heat in exchange for Jimmy Butler got the finishing touches put on it before being finalized at the buzzer on Thursday afternoon. Veteran point guard Dennis Schröder, originally being reported as landing with the Utah Jazz, has instead been re-rerouted to another team in the deal, the Detroit Pistons.
According to reports, the Pistons are planning on keeping Schröder, not buying him out. He’ll add some strong veteran presence to a young team rising the ranks of the Eastern Conference.
