Warriors power forward Draymond Green dressed up as Santa Claus and surprised families affected by gun violence Tuesday, and the emotions from the gesture were still strikingly fresh a day later.
“It was amazing, just to see the reaction on the kids’ faces,” Green said Wednesday. “The whole reason I do (community service) is to make someone smile, to change their day. It makes you want to continue to do more and more and more.”
Among the children Green surprised was Kumar Polk, an 8-year-old boy from Vallejo who was critically injured during a drive-by shooting in April.
