It didn’t work out for Draymond Green the first time, so he did it again.
After recording consecutive triple-doubles for the second time this season, Green was named Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
“It’s pretty amazing,” Green said after Monday morning’s shootaround. “It’s a blessing.”
The Warriors’ power forward averaged 18.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 9.5 rebounds during last week’s four-game stretch. He recorded triple-doubles Thursday at Houston and Saturday against Denver, after previously accomplishing the feat Nov. 27-28.
The weekly accolade was the first of Green’s career and the Warriors’ fourth in the season’s first 10 weeks.
