Warriors forward Draymond Green was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team on Wednesday, making him only the second player in franchise history — with Nate Thurmond — to earn such accolades two years in a year.
San Antonio forward Kawhi Leonard was a unanimous first-team choice, his 130 votes garnering 260 points.
Green, an All-Star for the first time this season and the runner-up to Leonard in the Defensive Player of the Year balloting, received 123 first-team votes and five second-team selections for 251 points. Players received two points for each first-team vote and a single point for second-team picks.
