Warriors go to 20-0; Curry scores 28 points in quarter

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Stephen Curry came toward the sideline and motioned for fans in his hometown to get louder.

Curry had scored just his 40th point Wednesday, capping off his night with an eye-popping 28 points in the third quarter in the Warriors' 116-99 win that improved their record to 20-0.Curry's outburst in the third matched his career high for scoring in any quarter. He drained five of his eight 3-pointers in the quarter, including four over the final two minutes.The eye-popping performance came on a night when his father, Dell, was honored for his achievements as a player for the Hornets organization.
