My earliest memory of Steve Kerr, the basketball player, was during his tenure with the Chicago Bulls of the late-90’s. He was a long-range threat and trusty role player to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. It was his dagger in the 1997 Finals that thwarted Karl Malone and John Stockton’s first best chance at a title, a shot that always gets replayed when the NBA’s clutchest buckets gets mentioned.
My latest memory of Kerr AGAINST the Bulls was right around Thanksgiving when he broke a clipboard with his hand while coaching the Golden State Warriors to a win.
