Within the span of two hours, the Warriors received a pair of lifelines in a season that was slowly floating off to sea. Not only did the Dubs start off the year with a much-needed 139-105 win against the 76ers on Thursday, but big-time trade target Jimmy Butler made it clear the same night that he wants out of Miami — regardless of what the Heat have said about having no interest in trading him.
Butler, who didn’t play the entire fourth quarter of his team’s blowout loss, said that he wants to get his “joy back from playing basketball — wherever that may be, we’ll find out here pretty soon.
