Steve Kerr recalled one of his many ring ceremonies and telling then-Commissioner David Stern, “We’ve got to stop meeting like this.”
He was kidding, of course. Ring ceremonies, after all, never get old.
Kerr won five rings as a player with the Bulls and Spurs and now has two as the Warriors’ head coach. He received his latest in Tuesday night’s raucous pregame ceremony at Oracle Arena, which was attended by the current commissioner, Adam Silver.
No, Kerr doesn’t want to stop meeting like this.
“It’s always fun to go through it,” he said.
All of last season’s players received rings, the final two going to Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, who predictably received huge cheers.
