The Golden State Warriors so-called ‘magic number’ is down to two. So any combination of Warriors’ wins or Nuggets’ losses will clinch the top seed in the West and allow Golden State to comfortably coast across the finish line with about one week to go before the playoffs start.
Both teams are on the tail end of a back-to-back, but no indications yet from coach Steve Kerr about who will be resting - my guess is DeMarcus Cousins will not play.
So while tonight’s game is somewhat important to the team’s goals, this evening is made more special by the auspicious occurrence of our GSOM Night.
