OAKLAND – Warriors center Jordan Bell will start against the Atlanta Hawks Friday night, Bell said after the team’s shootaround.
Friday’s game will mark Bell’s 12th start of his rookie season, as the Warriors wait for the return of forward Draymond Green, who’s hopeful to practice Saturday after suffering a pelvic contusion in an 89-75 loss to the San Antonio Spurs Monday evening.
Bell’s shootaround announcement may have been a slip-up, however. Typically Warriors coach Steve Kerr elects to reveal his lineup during his pregame media availability or just before tip-off.
“I don’t know if I was supposed to say that,” Bell said with a smile.
