BOSTON — When David Lee first saw a Bay Area reporter in TD Garden, he stretched his arms wide, beelined for a hug and then got around to introducing the first-year player with him.
“This is R.J. Hunter,” said Lee, who was traded to Boston this summer by the champion Warriors. “I’ll meet you in the locker room, right after I take him to chapel.”
The Celtics’ locker room is small, but clean — oddly pristine. Lee governs right in the middle of it.
His locker purposefully has rookie Jordan Mickey’s to the right, 21-year-old Marcus Smart’s to the left and every other rookie’s within earshot.
