Outspoken Warriors forward Draymond Green last month publicly brushed aside the thought of the Warriors possibly reaching the 72-win mark this season and threatening the Chicago Bulls’ single-season record set in 1995-96 as something that was too early in the year to consider.
But behind closed doors, Green has apparently been using the idea that the Warriors could match the Bulls’ record as motivation.
“It’s like when we tell the team, ‘There’s a good chance we don’t win 72 games this year, but we don’t care about that because all we’re trying to do is get to a level where we can win another championship.
