WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Warriors have been greeted by a media circus in every city this season, but the fervor still hasn’t reached the level that existed for the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr played on the Bulls’ team that won an NBA-record 72 regular-season games. When they were traveling from Cleveland to Milwaukee - the site of win No. 70 - news helicopters followed the bus and fans hung signs on overpasses.
“I remember that vividly,” said Kerr after Wednesday’s shootaround, before being asked what he thought about the spectacle.
