Warriors draft Jacob Evans with the 28th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft

Tonight the Golden State Warriors selected guard Jacob Evans with the 28th pick of the NBA Draft. Evans, a junior from Cincinnati, was rumored to go late in the first round.

For weeks, it’s been predicted that the Warriors would draft a wing player. Tonight, they had their pick between Melvin Frazier, De’Anthony Melton, Khyri Thomas and others. They went with Evans.

The pros and cons of Jacob Evans

Evans can shoot it — 37% from three. He is also a fantastic defender. Evans is 6-foot-5 with a long wingspan who will be able to switch on defense, a staple of the Warriors style.
