Center David West will miss at least two weeks with a fractured left thumb, the Warriors announced after Wednesday night’s 121-100 win over Oklahoma City.
West, 36, didn’t return after leaving the game midway through the fourth quarter. Zaza Pachulia’s primary backup, he won’t require surgery and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
“It’s a big loss,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “David has been fantastic, he’s playing so well. He’s really a big part of our second unit.”
The absence of West, who enters most games late in the first quarter, signals a change to Golden State’s rotation.
