Warriors’ D’Angelo Russell ruled out Monday with ankle injury

Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a right ankle sprain.

It’s the second-straight game the Warriors will be without their starting guard. Russell missed Saturday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets after turning his ankle during Friday’s loss against the San Antonio Spurs.

Two-way player Ky Bowman will likely get the start in his place. On Saturday, Bowman posted 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes.

In addition to Russell, Stephen Curry (left hand fracture), Jacob Evans (adductor strain), Draymond Green (finger sprain), Kevon Looney (neuropathy) and Klay Thompson (ACL) are all listed as out.
