Warriors’ D’Angelo Russell (right quad) out vs. Wizards, day-to-day going forward

WASHINGTON — D’Angelo Russell is considered day-to-day with a right quadriceps injury, head coach Steve Kerr said.

Russell, out for Monday night’s game against the Wizards, suffered the injury in Saturday’s win over the Cavaliers in Cleveland. He had 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in 29 minutes.

Error 0:

Jacob Evans III will replace Russell in the starting lineup, and Draymond Green will continue to see more ball-handling responsibilities on the heels of a career-high tying 16 assist performance in Cleveland.

Without Russell, Golden State, already with the worst rated offense in the league, will be missing its top scorer.
