The Warriors’ expectation is D’Angelo Russell will return to the court Wednesday night in Charlotte after missing their last nine games with a sprained right thumb.
The 23-year-old point guard is listed as probable for the Warriors, who will also get Draymond Green (heel) back after a one-game absence as they try to avoid a fourth straight loss on their five-game road trip.
Russell has missed 12 of the Warriors’ 22 games, but when he’s played he’s thrived in their offense. He’s averaging a career-best 24.3 points per game to go along with shooting 45.5 percent from the field and 35.
