Golden State has assigned center Damian Jones to its Gatorade League affiliate in Santa Cruz, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Santa Cruz Warriors opened training camp Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
Jones, 22, didn’t appear in Golden State’s first four regular-season games. A 7-foot, 245-pound project, he is heading to the G-League to refine his fundamentals and learn how to more consistently play with a high motor. Jones was buried behind Zaza Pachulia, JaVale McGee, David West and Jordan Bell on Golden State’s depth chart.
