Bob McKillop had intently watched then-freshman Stephen Curry for only two weeks of individual instruction.
That’s all it took.
The men’s basketball coach proclaimed loudly and boldly to Davidson College alumni and fans that Curry was going to be very special.
“I told them that he’s going to go down in the annals of Davidson history as one of the greatest,” McKillop said. “It was a two-week process for him to earn that, and then, he continued to earn it. There was never a feeling of entitlement whatsoever. He was on a mission to get better.
