The Warriors travelled to Minnesota without Steph Curry, and their bench was incredibly thin with Andre Iguodala, David West, Patrick McCaw and Jordan Bell out of the lineup as well. They were facing a well-rested Timberwolves team and that showed itself in the fourth quarter.
Golden State and Minnesota were tied at 94 heading into the fourth, but the Timberwolves pulled away late as the Warriors simply ran out of gas.
Golden State’s offense really struggled shooting the three in Curry’s absence as they shot 10/36 from deep on Sunday afternoon. The ball movement was also not as sharp as they finished with 22 assists, which is well below their season average of 30.
