OAKLAND – Throughout his life, Warriors center Zaza Pachulia has learned movement is means of survival.
Thursday’s 134-127 win over the Clippers provided the latest example for the 14-year center.
In an effort to shake up the lineup, Warriors coach Steve Kerr elected to bring Pachulia off the bench in favor of fellow frontcourt man JaVale McGee, in what could be a permanent move.
The plan’s first game proved up and down, as McGee scored just six points in 14 minutes, as David West finished the game at center.
Pachulia, who’s averaging 5.9 points per game, has struggled defensively, sporting a 105 defensive rating per 100 possessions in 48 starts, which in part led to the shakeup.
