SAN FRANCISCO — The Warriors have signed center Marquese Chriss to a two-way contract, the team announced, completing an impressive series of moves by Golden State’s front office to keep two key contributors despite cap limitations.
Chriss, 22, was waived by the Warriors earlier this month in order to make room for Damion Lee — who had emerged as the team’s starting shooting guard while playing on a two-way contract — on the 15-man roster. Lee signed a multi-year deal on Wednesday, the last day teams can sign players to two-way contracts.
