Golden State Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myers addressed the trade rumors surrounding All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell while speaking to the media Monday.
The Warriors acquired Russell through a sign-and-trade that sent two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets. Russell was seen as a way to help bolster the loss of Durant and Klay Thompson, who suffered a torn ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, in the Warriors' front court.
But almost as soon as Russell was traded to the Warriors, rumors began to arise that he would be traded away after Thompson returns from his knee injury.
