Warriors assign Jacob Evans III to the G League

Jacob Evans III hasn’t made much of an impact early in his NBA career. 11 games into his rookie campaign with the Golden State Warriors, Evans has played just 44 minutes, and scored a mere 4 points.

He hasn’t cracked the rotation, and has played almost exclusively in garbage time. And as a result, the Warriors have opted to assign the 28th pick to the G League, where he’ll join Golden State’s affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. The team announced the move on their Twitter account.

This is a good move, as it will allow Evans to get some steady playing time, which is critical for a developing prospect.
