In what could be an important stepping stone for the Golden State Warriors to build a new arena in San Francisco, the team on Tuesday received the endorsement of UCSF for the proposed project.
The Warriors released a press release listing agreements with UCSF, which had previously been against the new arena, which the Warriors want to build at the Mission Bay site. Located in the proximity of the Mission Bay area, prominent scientists at UCSF cited traffic issues and negative effects on the university.
The plan announced Tuesday includes many efforts by the Warriors to mitigate the traffic issues that will come with the new arena.
