Warriors anticipate upcoming White House visit

NEW YORK - The Warriors will arrive at the White House on Thursday morning, go through a security sweep, get a tour of the 18-acre complex and then participate in a dress rehearsal of their championship ceremony.

Point guard Stephen Curry could lead the tour.

He was at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue about a year ago to discuss malaria prevention with some of Washington’s movers and shakers, and four months before the Warriors won the title, Curry asked to be shown the site of the championship ceremony.

“I actually saw the room, so I know where to go, which will be fun,” Curry said after Sunday’s game in New York.
